Lenovo Announcing Two Cheap Laptops and One AIO

Although the S12 is still the most important piece of news regarding Lenovo’s products, the company seems to have a few more aces left up its long sleeve. Thus, it has also announced the release of two new laptops and an all-in-one, all three very budget-friendly and trying to fit all user needs and pockets.

And since we're talking budget, we're definitely talking the “Idea” line of computers. First in line is the IdeaPad U350, a device that has a 13.3-inch LED backlit display with a resolution of up to 1.366 x 768, HDMI output, ambient light sensor and a range of processors - Intel Core 2 Solo SU3500 (1.4GHz), SU2700 or the Celeron 723 (1.2GHz).

As for storage, it can be outfitted with a 500GB hard drive. It has a 1.3 MP camera, GMA 4500M or 4500MHD graphics adapter, as well as up to 8GB DDR3. Other features include a multi-touch trackpad, optional 8 cell battery and a choice of Windows Vista Home Basic or Premium.

The G550 has a 15.6-inch display, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, DVD burner, numeric keypad (I salute the numpad), as well as 4 GB DDR3 RAM, up to 320 GB in size HDD, GMA X4500 or GeForce G105M graphics, Core 2 Duo processor and HDMI output.

The all-in-one is dubbed the IdeaCentre C300 and is meant for those users who do not complain a lot regarding hardware specifications. It sports an Atom 230 processor, integrated Intel graphics, 20-inch LCD, up to 2GB DDR2 memory, an HDD ranging from 160 to 640GB, Firewire, six USB 2.0 sockets, 1.3-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi and a 6-in-one card reader. Prices range from 649 USD for the U350 to 599 for the G550, and 449 for the C300 respectively.

I'll leave the last words to Dion Weisler, vice president, Business Operations, Idea Product Group, Lenovo, “Users are demanding thinner and lighter PCs with enhanced connectivity and extra long battery life to fit their increasingly mobile lifestyles. To meet this growing category for 'thinbooks', we're bringing customers products like the new IdeaPad U350 laptop, the IdeaPad S12 netbook and our recently introduced IdeaPad Y650 laptop.”

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit.
